Tool Comparison Chart
Below you will find the tool comparison chart. This chart allows you to see which tools have already been assessed and are present in the database. As some tools have particular enrollment requirements or unique features, a legend has been created. Here is a full explanation of the legend items:
PC - this is present when there is a minimum age limit on a tool but with parental consent, this age limit can be lowered or eliminated completely
P - only the parent is required to submit this information about themselves, keeping their child's information private
T - only the teacher is required to submit this information about themselves, keeping their student's information private
S - this information is required about the student or child, usually referring to age to make the activities age-appropriate
O - this enrollment or display information is optional, it is not required but there is the option and teachers need to be aware when using it with their students as the students may opt-in and teachers should keep an eye out for it
C - refers to a tool that is closed, meaning that access is restricted to some level
Op - refers to a tool that is open, meaning little to no restrictions are possible and the people accessing or viewing the user's content cannot be controlled
